Education & Training

Mechelle Hollins Casey has over 20 years of experience in child welfare and support. She is a case manager who has seen first-hand the disparities in foster care visitations. Mechelle started DrinkWater Family Services in May 2021 in response to how and where court-mandated supervised visitations were held. Most visitations she supervised were conducted in parking lots of Mcdonalds, Burger King, police stations, libraries, and child welfare offices. These locations were not safe nor conducive to healthy family engagement.

Mechelle holds a Master’s in Human Services with a concentration in Organizational, and Social Science and a Bachelor of Science in Human Services Child Welfare, and Administration. She is also a certified Domestic Violence advocate, as well as 40-hour trained through Zacharius Sexual Abuse Center, Mechelle puts her experience and education to work serving her community as an Antioch School District #34 board member. Her years of classroom educational support and leadership gave her a passion for working with underserved, special needs, and marginalized children.
